Kathryn Rich (Navajo/Dakota)
Board President
Kathryn is a member of the Dine and Dakota tribes from the Navajo Nation and Santee reservations, but she currently resides in the greater San Francisco/Bay Area as an Urban Indian. Kathryn is a result of the Relocation act, as her parents were relocated to San Francisco in the 1960’s. She has more than 40 years of connection as a child of the Friendship House. The Friendship House was an integral part of her childhood and adulthood where she participated or volunteered in various community activities or functions supporting the work of the Friendship House. She joined the board in 2019 and was elected President/Chair in 2024 and looks forward to supporting the future endeavors of the Friendship House and the Village SF project. Kathryn has more than 35 years of experience serving in leadership roles within the financial services industry with a focus in risk mitigation. She has a bachelor’s degree in business management and a master’s in business administration.
